The Beadbox is a great place to celebrate birthdays, showers and special occasions! Whether you want to share an evening out with the ladies or celebrate your little one's special day, beading & jewelry-making is a fun and unique way to do it. You decide how much you want to spend on the supplies, and we'll help you pick the beads and findings to fit your budget. You are welcome to bring cake, refreshments and gifts for the honoree. We're available on Saturdays from 9am-11am or Mon-Thurs after 3pm—please schedule at least 1 week in advance. Most groups will spend 1 to 2 hours from start to finish.
We have three different packages available:
You decide the budget for your guests! Reserve the seating area ahead of time for up to 12 children. Each child is given a budget (anywhere from $5 to $10 is plenty) and keeps track of the beads he or she chooses. It sounds like a lot of work but we've found this to be the most popular of all our packages. One may use all of his/her money on an animal bead or charm to use as a centerpiece, while another might spend his/her budget on smaller, less expensive beads to sprinkle in special beads throughout the necklace. This allows each child to create a unique necklace! We provide small colorful spacer beads to fill up the rest of the necklace.
Each guest can make 2 pairs of simple earrings, one bracelet or one necklace during a party.
*fees are $12.00 per person. This fee covers the cost of all supplies needed to construct the earrings, bracelet or necklace with silver-plated/gold-plated/copper findings, the only beads included are filler beads. All other beads are kept track of by the guests and then added to the base price. Most Budget Party-Planners give a budget of $5 and up for each guest to spend on their beads.
This package is great for those that have younger children in their group. Reserve the seating area ahead of time for up to 12 children. Come in any time before the party and, with the help of our staff, select a variety of beads for your special guests. Then, when the group arrives, they can sit down and be ready to go! This also accommodates your budget. You can tell our staff while picking out beads what you'd like to spend and we'll make sure you have enough for everyone.

For bridal parties or just for the fun of it, plan a get-together for yourself and some friends to spend the evening creating new jewelry! Pick out some beads or pendants and we’ll help you design anything you’d like. One of our friendly staff people will be with you throughout the whole process from start to finish.

There will be a staff person assigned to oversee your party. This person will be greeting everyone upon arrival, explaining how the design boards work, helping each guest create designs, helping add up bead costs for budget parties and most importantly, attaching clasps to their pieces so they are professional and complete!
When making your own jewelry, it's fun to pick out the beads and put together a beautiful design, but there's more to it than that. You need to purchase headpins, earwire, bead-wire, crimp beads, a lobster claw clasp, and a jump ring. These materials are included in the per person fee, and are made of silver-plated/gold-plated/copper. If you would like to choose a fancier clasp or sterling/14k gold earwire for sensitive ears, we can adjust the price accordingly. So, when you're thinking about your budget, don't forget to add the essentials!
